Where the passion meets the practice

Hi! I’m Maddie Hunt. I’m a professional photographer born and raised in Port Angeles, Washington. I specialize in portraiture, but I offer services for commercial, interior, and photojournalistic event photography. I’m currently living in Israel as an unpaid volunteer with the organization Bridges for Peace.

While I love working with people, my true passions lies in nature and photojournalism. You can check out more of my work by visiting my Print Shop and Ventures page, or head over to my blog, Flannels & Flyaways.

Maddie Hunt Photography is the result of many younger years shooting everything with disposable cameras, a little pink point-and-shoot, my parent’s Kodak, and finally my first DSLR.

When I was about 11 years old, on a trip to Yellowstone National Park, I took a photo of a lone bison outside of our car. From that moment on, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I wanted to be a photographer.

I absolutely love being a photographer. I love connecting with people, creating memories, capturing candid moments, and showcasing my adventures. I aspire to be a world traveling photographer, to someday work for a travel magazine. To reach that goal and build a portfolio, I started by exploring Washington State before moving to Israel as a volunteer. I’ve had many opportunities to shoot the great outdoors and the wonderful people that have continued to support my work. I’ve also been fortunate enough to work with local company Cascadia Films and creating a name for myself in the boat world through Brix Marine, formally known as Armstrong Marine USA.

Photography is art, and art exists to make you feel.

I want you to be shamelessly yourself. Bold, beautiful, brave, wild, and free. I’m here to help you see how complex and wonderful you are, and to show you how freeing that reality is. I hope I get to work with you as you seize the moment, and help you hold on to those memories forever.

Life is an adventure. Live it like one.
